In the last two games, Udonis Haslem has played nearly 48 combined minutes, contributing 21 points, nine rebounds, and some highly-impressive dunks. More impressive than those dunks? The fact that Haslem’s mouthpiece hasn’t once fallen to the ground or become lodged in his throat despite being 90% of the way out of his mouth at all times.
Maybe that’s been the key to his success: exploiting Carlos Boozer’s discomfort with flying saliva. Also, Joakim Noah heard that gay guys sometimes chew on their mouthpieces, and now he tries to stay as far away from Haslem as possible.
